(BSI) and Cornell Research Foundation, Inc. (CRF) signed an Agreement granting BSI exclusive rights to develop five patented inventions for commercial purposes. These five inventions are: Bigwood Systems, Inc., headquartered in Ithaca, New York, is a recognized world leader in developing on-line dynamic security assessment and control software for energy management systems, voltage security assessment and preventive control, voltage security assessment and enhancement control and continuation power flow (CPFLOW). Cornell Research Foundation, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cornell University and holds the ownership interests of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and proprietary materials made by Cornell employees. The Agreement grants BSI an exclusive license to make, provide, use, sell, lease, import or export products and services under the Patents listed above. BSI's exclusive and unrestricted control of the commercial development for these inventions significantly enhances and strengthens BSI's mission to provide the best technology products to the global electric power industry. |
